It could be your next big gig. This management position is available for the right person to jump in and lead the SWR Boat Rentals team at Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Boat Rentals Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide personalized, professional and friendly service that exceeds our guest’s expectations while managing the team and the fleet.

There are FOUR key areas of responsibility for this position:

1. Guest Services

Ensure the delivery of services safely and securely
Ensure exceptional service delivery to guests
Respond to guest requests and act as a concierge
Conflict resolution and service recovery
Ensure a safe, organized work space.
Manage the booking system (Fare Harbour) - bookings can be made online, over the phone and in person

2. Make and manage all watercraft reservations following all safety protocols

Accept and process payments/refunds
Reconcile accounts at the end of every shift and for the day
Trouble-shooting.
Manage the day-to-day operations including staffing

3. Ensure staff are following safety procedures

Ensure safety for all dock users including guests and staff
Create schedules
Contribute to marketing plans, social media
Manage the Fleet and Equipment

4. Ensure fleet is kept in good repair

Coordinate repairs, general maintenance and upkeep
Develop relationships with vendors including mechanics, parts distributors
Special Projects as required.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Current British Columbia Boating License
Experience boating on Okanagan Lake
Knowledge of boat mechanics and maintenance
Integrity, strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Mature and polished personal presentation
Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, move heavy items, in and out of boats etc
A sincere desire to provide the best possible service to our guests, clients and customers
Ability to multi-task and take initiative
Computer literacy and experience in Property Management Systems, Word, Excel, Outlook/Gmail.

Previous experience in a hospitality setting (or similar) is a definite asset, however, experience in a related field would be considered.
