Time off doesn't have to mean time off from your workouts. We've got you covered, indoors and out. Keep up your fitness in the Resort's Fitness Room, a lakeshore run or walk, a paddle on the lake, or hike to a bird's eye view.
Looking out to the pool and Okanagan Lake, the fitness room on the 2nd floor of the hotel, is a great spot to keep up your workouts. It includes a universal gym, two treadmills, elliptical machine, stationary recumbent bikes, free weights, exercise balls, yoga mats, bands, stretching area, TV, and water cooler. Change rooms and towels are also available in this area. Changing facilities and lockers are available.
From the doorstep of Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa is Summerland's best walking trail. They are paved, they are wide, and best of all, they follow the shoreline of Okanagan Lake. Start at the Resort's boardwalk and take in the wetlands serenade of frogs, birds, and ducks. Keep strolling north past the Summerland Yacht Club to Rotary Beach. Along the way, you will see the Trout Hatchery and Racquet Club. The entire path is 3 km but you can carry on past all of the parks through a residential area to Crescent Beach (6 km).
Take your workout to the water with a swim or watercraft rental from SWR Boat Rentals. There are a handful of beaches within 3 km of the Resort or swim in the pool. Kayak, canoe, or Stand-up Paddleboard rentals are available onsite from May through to end of September.
Summerland is a great place for pedal power! Cruise the shoreline path on one of the Resort's complimentary bikes. Road cycle along the meandering roads of Summerland or mountain bikes the surrounding peaks.
