Whether you’re keeping up with your marathon training or just need twenty minutes of movement to feel like yourself, we’ve made sure you don't have to miss a beat. Our fitness room features floor-to-ceiling windows that frame incredible views of the lake and pool, reminding you that you're in paradise even while you're breaking a sweat. What equipment is available in the fitness room?

Our gym is equipped with:

  • Cardio: Two treadmills, elliptical machine, and stationary recumbent bikes.
  • Strength: A Universal gym, a full set of free weights, and resistance bands.
  • Recovery: Yoga mats, exercise balls, a dedicated stretching area, and a dry cedar sauna.
  • Convenience: On-site change rooms, fresh towels, a water cooler, and an overhead TV to keep you entertained.

  • What are the fitness center hours?
    The Fitness Room and Dry Sauna are open daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

  • Is there a cost to use the gym?
    Access to the Fitness Room, Sauna, and our cruiser bikes is complimentary for all resort guests.

  • Where can I find towels?
    Fresh towels are provided inside the fitness room. Showers and additional towels are located in the pool area change rooms nearby.

  • Can I do laundry after my workout?
    Yes. We have three public washers and dryers located immediately adjacent to the fitness room. They are free for guest use, making it easy to refresh your workout gear during longer stays.

  • Is the gym accessible?
    Yes, our fitness center is wheelchair accessible via the main elevator in Phase 1.

From the doorstep of Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa is Summerland's best walking trail. They are paved, they are wide, and best of all, they follow the shoreline of Okanagan Lake. Start at the Resort's boardwalk and take in the wetlands serenade of frogs, birds, and ducks. Keep strolling north past the Summerland Yacht Club to Rotary Beach. Along the way, you will see the Trout Hatchery and Racquet Club. The entire path is 3 km but you can carry on past all of the parks through a residential area to Crescent Beach (6 km).

Hiking & Walking

Take your workout to the water with a swim or watercraft rental from SWR Boat Rentals. There are a handful of beaches within 3 km of the Resort or swim in the pool. Kayak, canoe, or Stand-up Paddleboard rentals are available onsite from May through to end of September.

Okanagan Lake Boat Rentals

Summerland is a great place for pedal power! Cruise the shoreline path on one of the Resort's complimentary bikes. Road cycle along the meandering roads of Summerland or mountain bikes the surrounding peaks. Stop in at the Front Desk to borrow a bike any time.
