The resort has 2 outdoor hot tubs, available for guests to enjoy all year round. During the winter season, our team puts a blue cover to keep the water warm.
You'll find one hot tub in the main pool area next to the fitness studio overlooking the lake, boardwalk and wetland. The second hot tub is located outside the Phase II building overlooking the lake and the beach.

Simply power on your coffee maker by lifting the handle, insert the K-Cup® pod, and then select your brew size. Press the brew button. The coffee maker will heat and then automatically begin brewing. Auto Off automatically turns your coffee maker off 5 minutes after the last brew for energy savings.

Our dishwasher tab holders do not have a cover. Guests can simply place the pod directly inside the holder, and the dishwasher will function as intended.

Geothermal systems are not like traditional furnaces or air conditioning systems.
The temperature in the entire resort is established by the resort's geothermal system. It is set to stay between 20-24°C.
If you would like to adjust the temperature in your room within this range, use the thermostat on the wall to choose a set point between 20-24° C.
Choosing a temperature outside this range will cause the system to not work properly.
To adjust the temperature, press <set point> and press the arrow button <up> for increased heat or <down> for increased cooling of the room.
To keep your suite cool in the summer, we ask that you keep the doors and windows closed, including the patio doors, and when possible that you also close the blackout curtains. This will help the geothermal cooling system keep your room cool.
Troubleshooting hints if the shower is slow or not operating.
The other common issue is the knob at the top of the showerhead.
To use the fireplace, please follow these directions.
During Covid-19 protocols, your suite will be cleaned upon request. Please call the front desk before 1 pm and let us know when your suite will be vacant.
Upon request service is available for guests staying more than 2 nights and includes a clean and tidy of your suite, replenishing of consumable amenities like coffee, soap, paper products. We will vacuum, wash floors as needed, and remove all garbage and recycling.
Please put any used towels that are ready to be replaced in the bathtub or on the floor in the bathroom. Any towels that are not ready to be replaced, please hang up.

Located at the north end and south ends of the Resort grounds, the barbecue areas are here for your grilling convenience. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and not bookable.
Surrounded by green space looking out to Okanagan Lake, the barbecue areas are a great spot to prepare a summer meal.

Is there any better way to finish off a day on vacation than to gather around a campfire on the beach?
Campfire sessions are 30 minute blocks, free to all guests and set up by the SWR Summer Experiences Team. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, s'mores kits are available and you can enjoy live music from local musicians too. Chairs are provided so all you have to do is book your reservation in advance and show up at the Experiences Office 10 minutes before your booking and enjoy the fire.

If you hear an alarm, take your room key card. Test the door for heat by touching the door before opening it If the hallway is safe, exit to the stairs. DO NOT use the elevators.
If you are unable to leave your room, turn off the air conditioner. Stuff the doors and cracks with wet cloths and/or towels. Please remove the drapes from the windows, phone the Front Desk to make them aware of your location, and move to the balcony if it is deemed safe.

The Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa has established COVID-19 operating procedures, in accordance with the Province of BC regulations, to ensure the safety and health of our guests and staff. Adherence to these regulations requires changes to our housekeeping service, pool and hot tub use, and more.
While in your room, we recommend that you double lock your doors by closing the door tightly and engaging the deadbolt or security lock.
Use the peephole to identify visitors. All hotel staff wear name badges and can be clearly read.
Protect your room key card at all times and return them to the Front Desk when you check out.

The Resort’s lakefront geothermal pool is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm, mid-April to October 1. The opening date is dependant on the weather. Both resort hot tubs are open year-round.
Showers are located in the pool area change rooms. Towels can be found at the entrance to Phase 1 outdoor pool (just outside the fitness room) and Phase 2 (lake side 1st floor foyer).

Join us at dusk for nightly campfires. Our team sets up everything for you. All you need to do is book your timeslot online and show up at the Experiences Office at the time of your booking.
Complimentary s'mores kits and live music happens on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout July and August.
Free, guided activities like scavenger hunts, soccer, and nature crafts—designed for families to enjoy together.
Events are updated throughout the summer, 4-6 days in advance, and are weather-dependent.

1. Where do I check in for my rental?
Check in at the SWR Boat Rentals hut located at the dock on the shoreline, just steps from the resort.
2. What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a water bottle, sunglasses, and a hat. Life jackets are provided for all renters.
3. Are life jackets included?
Yes, properly fitted life jackets are included and required for all guests.
4. Can kids join on the watercraft?
Yes! Children are welcome with parental supervision. We provide child-sized life jackets too.
5. Is there a damage deposit?
Yes, a damage deposit may be required for motorized boat rentals. Please check the terms during your online booking.
6. What happens if the weather is bad?
We monitor weather closely. If unsafe conditions arise, rentals may be delayed or cancelled. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or can reschedule.
Deposits vary by boat and rental time.
If you cancel within 30 days, your deposit is non-refundable, but it stays on your account as a credit for next time.
Cancellations within 48 hours are charged 50% of the booking.
